Ranch homes have the benefit of more area on the main level which typically means a larger basement or lower level. Lower level area is much more economical per square foot to finish off compared to area above ground level. The lower level is very warm, comfortable and dry the way we build homes with the insulation we offer in our standard features. When lower levels are not figured as living space, the price per square foot of a ranch is higher than a two story home of the equivalent size.
